You did very well with the realistic style --- hell of a lot better than some I've seen, I'd say. I like the expression on his face; the eyes seem to give a sense of tired-wryness, and it really makes the realistic style a bit stylized, which I think is awesome. You don't really see a lot of stylization of realism too much, not unless you look in a fashion mag or something, but I like where your work went with this.

The use of color on the flesh is really well done as well, because you paid attention to detail and shadows, giving it the depth that it needed. The texture is quite interesting as well, because from how I'm seeing it, it looks like it was painted on canvas (the skin tone/eyes), and the smoothness of the hair is a sort of balance to the rest, not to mention the contrast of dark to light colors. I'm actually wondering how you did that now...

Other than that, I really just dig this in general. It's definitely a style worth developing, I believe. Thanks for sharing with us, Gato

i think this experiment turned out really well I like the texture and feel... the only thing that seems off is how big Sick's eyes are... but i guess thats your style. It just looks funny with the slight realism to have his eyes that big
